The Team is made up of volunteers. There are presently four team members. The Team Owner/Entrant/Driver, Geoff Ogilvie. The Team Navigator/Co-Driver, Wally Simpson. The Team Service Manager(NZ), Ed Tubman. The Team Service Manager(TAS) Nick Kounelis.
The Team's duties extend throughout the year. Following an event the car is returned to Geoff Ogilvie's garage in Canungra, Queensland for storageand maintenance work. The present calendar of events is limited to:
Targa NZ(Oct-Nov). Targa Tasmania(Apr-May). Gold Caost TT(Aug).
This schedule is limited by the funds available.
It is hoped that with increased sponsorship the car will be able to be raced more extensively both within New Zealand and Australia and overseas.. The ultimate aim is to race in the UK, the conceptual home of the Leyland Company.
The Team assembles a few days before the event to complete any last minute jobs and to attend the event briefings and scrutineering. During the event the support team follows the action and perform their normal functions.
Geoff and Wally compete in the car. Ed/Nick positions himself to best perform his duties of servicing and recovery in the event of an off or breakdown. The car has in car video in some events.
